Paul Hamm Part of Olympic Heroes Tour

Pro Sports MVP is proud to announce the Olympic Heroes Tour from August 2nd – 13th, 2010. The goodwill military tour will feature gold medalists from the Olympic Games. The group slated to visit the troops includes Olympic Champion Paul Hamm (gymnastics), Moushaumi Robinson (track and field), Carly Piper (swimmer), and Allen Johnson (track hurdler).

“These outstanding Olympic athletes will have a tremendous impact on the military personnel stationed in Iraq. The group is very excited to meet the troops in Iraq, and it will be everyone’s first visit to the country. All of the participants have expressed their passion for our troops overseas and are looking forward to a successful tour and once-in-a-lifetime experience” says David Chavez, President of Pro Sports MVP.

The group will visit numerous bases throughout Iraq as well as Kuwait, but will not be provided a schedule until a day or two prior to their departure due to security reasons. They will be spending most of their time with soldiers from the Army, but will also be visiting servicemen and women in the Marines and Air Force. All events throughout the 12-day trip will be directed by Pro Sports MVP tour manager Carmen Clem who has been involved with over a dozen tours to the Middle East region. Paul Hamm is a World Champion gymnast and three-time Olympic medalist. By the time the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens came around, he had already become the first American man to win the all-around title at the World Championships. He was part of the United States men’s team who won the silver medal in the team events, and then, in come from behind fashion, won the gold in the individual all-around competition. Paul became the only American man in Olympic gymnastic history to receive a gold medal.
